Love’s Pride

Love is the pain I felt as you stormed away from me.
Though, in my heart I thought to call out to you, the grief of my love made me turn away from you.
I felt a weight over my shoulders as tears filled my eyes slowly.
Even as I tried to contain myself my cheeks rose up to my eyelids.
Dear love, harsh to my foolish pride no more do you trade your secrets with me.
