Despised

Let me dream and have memories but let not tears enter my eyes.
The joy of life is like beams of sunlight and its tested in my smiles.

Men made god’s of things they thought to compromise.
First they love and then they despise.
First they smile and then they disguise.
Their eyes grow dim with jealousy in their eyes.
They’ll accept slaverly but their ways show no mercy.
Money made life easy but these souls can’t quell their appetites.

Then technology came and set us apart.
We create illusions of being stars.
Some have followers to the skies.
Look sharp and you’ll see how time passes by.
Today you’re on top but tomorrow you’re at the end of the line and despised.
