Man’s cruelty

I have seen souls once low and timid become proud and of haughty eyes;
Yet I smile upon an arrogant stare for I know what substance such souls are made from.
I saw a dove crushed under the weight of a careless wheel and I wept to see such beauty taken.
But no sooner had I been moved by pity had I crushed an insect beneath my feet that I hadn’t noticed.
Yet further on, I saw a snail on a slothful trek across a dangerous route and I with care moved it to the safer side of its journey.

Man has both good and evil heart stirred by random currents but few are there among us to cogitate on the meanings of these things.
