Mortal Contemplations

Quite often a human being makes a discovery and immediately proceeds to the top of a hill to make a boast of it not realizing that he is most prone to the fallacy of absolutes where none exists.
He is guilty of that especially in weighing the character, intentions and purposes of others without first looking to the first principles of our primal existence which govern every aspect of man in his pursuits.

I cannot simply relinquish a desire denied in the present while I am yet among the living. Certainly no other man has more joy than to weigh the end of a matter in his mind with hope and see the glorious fruits of his determination made more sweet by time, suffering and tribulations.
